There’s something about Winter golden hour that makes family photos so easy and magical! It’s just before dinner, kids have had a snack and everyone’s content, we are all down for an adventurous early evening photo session. The air is cool, sunset is shining, you’re not worried about running up to bed time and trying to hold out for the last bit of light with grumpy littles.
With the right layers, Winter photos just feel cozy and fun, and 99% of the time everyone’s in a good mood! The last burst of warmth and early sunset magic gives us ALL a little burst of energy.
Pro tip: Eat a snack right before the session, pack some gummies for bribes, and pick up dinner on the way home! Sometimes I’ll do a crock pot dinner for our own fam on family photo nights! Don’t forget to layer up!
